Bean and I drove around today in an old neighborhood with massive beautiful homes. Intricate stone and brick work, arched wooden doors, leaded glass windows, and grand ol' porches. The stuff of yard haunting fantasies.
Found this gem of a home on Flickr.com and a million Halloween possibilites flashed through my mind.

Oh my god dude, Ive seen some amazing homes for haunting in my area. I think Ive passed on a couple to you as well. But this house, though not your 'classic' haunted house, tops all of the homes I have seen before. This home is AMAZING!!!
I love the chimney stacks and the vines... the porch is gorgeous too. I think withch when i look at it, Salem witch.
Wow. Good find.
Lucky dawgs that live in it.
I bet they dont even like halloween.
Theyre sitting inside watching Coronation Street while sipping tea.
: D
On our drive we saw a house that had one end of it covered in wisteria (my favorite flower). This was a three story house and it went all the way up. I've never seen anything like it.
Gonna go throw out the owners tonight and take over the house.
Im sure they wont mind. They would be flattered.
We ahve an absolute Addams Family Victorian up the road. I mean picture perfect.
This house in the picture is gorgeous. It would be perfect for a twisted 'Hansel and Gretel' theme.
I want that house. now.
That, my friends, is my dream home...(or, nightmare home)...
the things i could come up with for that house....
I've been shopping for a 'retirement' home, and that one fits the bill almost to a tee (no turret....bummer)
I grew up in an old neighborhood in Akron Ohio and there were so many cool old tudors that always looked like great haunted houses. Of course we lived in a bright and sunny colonial type house which sucked when 70 % of the houses on your street are cool tudors. My best friend lived in one, it was way older than my house too, lots of charm and atmosphere.
Fantastic. I am ready to trade my house for it right now :)
