Man Of Tin

We took Tin Man to the competition today. He seemed to get a good response. People posing next to him. Under his axe. Two children looked up and ran from him, and their parents. Funny.

We also took him to an abandoned farm a week ago and got a bunch of great shots.

His page and video are up. I'd recommend watching the video first to get a good taste of him:

TIN MAN GALLERY

You'll see a bunch of polaroids in the gallery, courtesy of the insanely talented Bean. Also a couple of cool Holgaroid shots, like the one above. Can't imagine a photo shoot without her.

Very cool. Different. Love the detail. I imagine the setting like Wizard of Oz.

I would be creeped out if I came accross him in the woods. Apples all around on the ground frozen in that position.

I like the jaw and the intestines. Amazing work!!

Very cool. I know it would be hard to justify, but I almost think you should mount one of your creations on the side of some out of the way road, so that when people drive by it they start speeding up to get to a main road faster.

Man he is fantastic, really taking the gore aspect up a notch... which I love! Is he one big solid piece?

Thanks, everyone : )
Wanted to try something different since he won't be a part of the yard haunt this year.

Yep. He's one solid piece.

People were getting a kick out of the cheesy sign.

Yeah, she's pretty nifty with her cameras. I love the golden glow. That one she took in the heading photo is my favorite shot of Tin Man.

He turned out great! I love the passage at the top of his page. The first photo in the second row is my favorite shot. I like that you gave him guts, to go with the "if I only had a heart" business. Good luck this year, how do you feel about the competition this year?

Man, that is great. Before I saw the sign at the end, I was thinking that I would have been tempted to leave one of those old oil cans close to him. Great video, pictures, and prop as usual!

Thanks, guys : )

We walked around trying to pick the ones that would beat ours.
There was a Snoopy scarecrow where he was shooting crows with a machine gun and wearing a bullet vest. And a really good one with that old man from the movie UP..square head, holding balloons, wearing a cloth suit.

I smell third place for sure.

Awesome work as usual Rot. You need to make all the wizard of Oz charaters now.

AVANT-GARDE! Good luck this year. I appreciated the original sound bite at the end of the video; it was a nice touch.
