These are great pictures! I have thought about buying a polaroid camera because I love the film quality. I was told by a friend you can't find the film in stores and it is expensive to buy online, any suggestions?
Since Polaroid stopped making their instant film, we picked up a Fuji instant camera.
There's a warmth and intimacy found with the old Polaroid instant film that isn't matched with others. How does the Fuji stack up against Polaroid as far as the aesthetic quality?
It takes some getting used to. I think the warm colors that I'm used to with the polaroids isn't really there with the Fuji. It still has a lonely quality that I love, but there's something slightly off. Like the polaroid loved yellows and browns and oranges, and the Fuji digs on the greens, grays, and blues. This one was taken with the fujihttp://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ZzhKqCSNjzw/TAeDGw3pFnI/AAAAAAAAQmk/hgmfbdfGUno/s1600/bones1.jpgAnd so was this one:http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ZzhKqCSNjzw/S60Y8-bXGsI/AAAAAAAAPaA/hXyer-fDmtk/s1600/skullwitch0001c.jpg
Thank you for the comparison! I do see where the Fuji film is a lot cooler than the Polaroid. It's not necessarily a bad thing, just different I guess.
Hey Rot, what size are the photos that Fuji produces?
The Fuji produces rectangular photos...more narrow than the polaroids in this blog post.
Well I was wondering the size by inches, not the shape of the photos. Also, do you happen to know the difference between the 200 and the 210? I assume you have the Instax 210...?I'm not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination, mostly because I hate having to take my memory stick into some store to develop my photos. I think I would snap more shots if they easily printed up right then and there. Thanks for your help.
We have the 210. At the link above. No idea how it differs from the 200.The size of the photo, not including the white border is about 2 1/2 inches by 4 inches.Compared to the roughly 3 X 3.75 inches of the polaroid.
