We're going to put up some Old School decorations leading up to the big day. Then we'll take them down on the 30th to make way for the Haunt.
Here are our Tree Ghosts, made with Michael's foam skulls, clear plastic, and white coaxial cable (for the ribs).

Great and simple.
Stringing those up was so much fun. Hot cider and a cool breeze.
Yeah, that was a good memory.
ohhh...these are Lovely!!.. :)
they're like wispy forest (wood) spirits...i can only imagine what they actually sound like when they all whisper back & forth to each other....must be Dreamy!...
& how Super Deluxe Grand is it that (you) bean & Rot are a Pair...your names Even go so well together.. :)
ohhhhh & this is the first blog i have Ever Commented On...Yayyyyy...
HA. Thanks for making this blog the first one : )
They sounded really neat with all that light plastic.
I wussed out and took them down...figuring it was too early for that kind of decoration. We'll put them back up after next weekend.
Super Deluxe Grand indeed.
You're a riot.
So glad you dropped in!
Great effect for little cost. How cool!
i walked thru the neighborhood last night and several houses already beat me to putting up decorations! Simple stuff like plastic pumpkins and gravestones. I love this time of the season.
Nice, simple and fun but unmistakably PunkinBean. Too them down though???
Actually surprised by how many Scarecrows, inflatables, etc. I already see around our neighborhood as Willow said. Considering putting a scarecrow in the garden tomorrow morning.
PumpkinBean..that's awesome.
Yeah, I don't know why I was all caught up in the timing of decorations... me of all people...
Too early?? LOL WHAT! You are silly and those are great!
They're beeeaauuuuutiifuuuulll...
"Too early" Rot? LOL... There's a house around me who decided September 1st was a good day to welcome Halloween. I was surprised and tickled when I saw it!
ha..yeah, i need therapy or something.
I think I have it in my head that the organic stuff has to go up first..like some pumpkins, mum, and cornstalks. We're going to do that this coming weekend...So maybe then my Halloween brain will chill.
Too early my butt. I have the jacko that was on top of my last year's scarecrow out all year long and I just put out a 12 year old witch right beside my front door today.
People on this block need to be reminded that evil lives inside this house. >:)
Too early? Nah, not so. I sneaked (snuck?) a fun-kin out last weekend. I'm starting little by little. It's still so hot here in ATX though. Hard to get too spirited just yet.
Where is the "like" button for that last post?!? Awesome!
Yeah. I tried a couple cool names but wasn't really feeling it, PumpkinBean woulda been great but you two have a hold on that one.
So its just "jeff"....and isn't that macabre enough after all, like a walking dead in a prep school sweater and penny loafers...
....damn...I gotta draw that up!
I could not get over you taking down the decorations. I told my husband about it and even he(who doesn't read the blog) was like"?????". :) I mean, yeah, it's early. BUT YOU. YOU. Craziness.
I put up Fall wreath, and a twine pumpkin. That's it.
On our way home from church, we pass by these great Craftsman bungalows and one had full on haunt stuff up last weekend. It made me smile.
Rot: The Enigma
or rather
Rot: Needing an Enema
I have no idea why I was so uptight about this!
You can always go Freudian and blame your mother. ;) LOL
Those are the best "tree ghosts" I've EVER seen. Absolutely love 'em.
Thanks!
