My aunt got me one of these! I use it every year, it's a candle holder from Bath & Body Works - don't they always have the most fun Halloween products?! This pic gets me so excited to bring my little house out of its box and start using my pumpkin spice candles :)

Hey Autumnleaf..our BIG Kmart (it's gone now) used to dedicate a whole section to Halloween decorations & costumes each year, it actually, took up most of the upstairs. anyway, a few years back, i found a really cool all black haunted house (candle holder) made of tin. it's really lovely how cool the tin worked into the house's design. i know a lot of the Kmart's have closed up, but, maybe there are still some out in Cali. if so, just check em out. they used to have some of the best Halloween stuff. sorta surprising what you could find there. i've gotten some really beautiful ceramic skulls from there too. i'll see if i can take a pic of the house for ya. : )

Fantastic girl6! Would love to see your beautiful haunted house. I feel kind of silly jumping on this post and making a 'scene' about the picture. I noticed someone's post was deleted making me wonder if they commented about my over exuberant detective work. Actually it took under a minute to find the above pictured candle holder. I LOVE Google!
Anyways, I'll see if there is a Kmart that is still in business here and check it out. Thanks!!
Our Walmart used to be this way for Fall before they ate up the whole middle of the store for food items. I don't mind so much...they have some pretty good prices on groceries as well.

Hey Vintage Seance, you take good care of that hh candle holder. It looks like a good one! Aren't aunts the greatest?

A very happy, if not over exuberant Halloween to all!

Btw girl6 a few years back there used to be a candle company called Illuminations, an offshoot of(and owned by) Yankee Candle. They used to have several all black tin houses available for t-lights at Halloween. Was pretty amazing. Like all good things they came to an end. But I remember them because of their diverse offerings in that genre- churches, houses, etc.

Nah..it was actually a funny comment (i took it that way)...
he was being funny and saying that the mystery was suddenly gone because vintage seance revealed its true origins... not sure why he posted it...perhaps he thought it would be mis-read..

But it was funny

i mean..."not sure why he deleted it" !

Autumnleaf said...

Oh darn, now I wish he hadn't deleted it.

I've done that. Posted stuff and read it later thinking, what an idiot! ...and deleted it. But in retrospect I don't think anybody would have minded too much if I left it.

Hey Autumnleaf...i have shopped at Illuminations & picked up some really awesome vintage looking jack candle holders. sucha cool place, but, of course they closed up ages ago. whenever i cut thru Macy's, i sometimes see one of the guys that worked there, now working at one of the makeup counters. sometimes, i'll run over to him & talk about the old candles days with him. : D

& i CAN'T imagine, you saying something to be the cause of someone, saying something sarcastic & then deleting it later. they probably just made a cute comment & then felt unsure when they saw people checking out their profile. who knows. you ain't NO problem lady. you sweet. : )

Awwwe....thanks girl6. You know how things come and go..quickly. We have this lone Michaels pretty much within walking distance. It's in a ghost mall. Next door used to be an Albertson's supermarket. It's been gone for 4 years now. Empty. Have always held my breath thinking that the Michaels would end up leaving too. As it turns out signs just went up...coming soon....Homegoods and TJMaxx. Oh Gawd. I'm toast. Don't even have to get in my vehicle to get into some serious financial peril around Halloween time. I'm sure they won't open in time for this year (maybe Xmas)....but I had to ask the clerk in Michaels if they were 'going anywhere'. She said they might move the store to the other end of the mall. I'm cool with that.
