I’m going to have to make a trip to Tangler outlet this weekend to see if it is open yet.

These shots make Spirit look FAR cooler than it actually is. Wish the actual products had as good a feel as the shots do.

GREAT shots!! They look like they were taken in an abandoned, rotting old Spirit that's been shut down since 1981. AMAZING!!!!

She really did make Spirit look awesome. Its been years since Ive been to one and if I didnt know better Id have thought they had completely changed their vision for the company lol. She should be hired to do their promo pics.

i was SO excited about last week..to have the whole week to drive around & do some Halloween sightseeing. but..i just ended up feeling let down. something is happening to Horror..Halloween & The Days of the Dead too. no matter where we went it was pretty much the same thing..everything is cute now. cute Freddy. cute Jason. cute Michael Myers. cute/sexy Steampunk. those POP vinyl figures are everywhere..making the Predator CUTE. the Predator ain't cute..he's a badass killer from another planet who was already super sexy. now..i know why a lot of artists despise those figures.

bad Halloween plush..is SO not Halloween. Charlie Brown or Linus wearing a witch's hat. hahaha..why. chintzily made costumes. i guess no one goes thrifting anymore..it's becoming a dying art. sooooo many dumb & poorly made props out there..the latex already drying out & crumbling as they're being paid for at the register. i feel it's a crime to sell poorly made merch.

ceramic.resin statues of puppies & kittens..their faces painted in muerte makeup. ughhh. is that all we have taken from La Catrina? really tho..is what the Days of the Dead been reduced to now. Posada must be turning over in his grave.

anyway..feels like the Halloween i LOVE is living more & MORE inside my head or in photos like these & NOT on the shelves/racks of a store. it's just SO much obvious now!!!!!

Omg..& then it will be Xmas. and we will be bombarded with ALL THE CRAPPY merch from.."A Christmas Story movie" that movie IS pretty great, but, man i am sick of seeing THAT leg lamp sold in every merchandise form imaginable. AND the adult size onesie PJ's... : (

I dunno girl6. I was really surprised and happy with the Michaels selection this year. But regardless, dont let what a store thinks Halloween is get you down. This site alone shows you the great things people do with homemade and by transforming store bought props. Rot showcases some amazing people. When people see our version of Halloween they realize what they are missing and that makes it more special.
