I need something to just appear in front of me and say "BOO DAMMIT! NOW DO YOU BELIEVE?"<br /><br />Then again, I do have that photo we took at the Jenni Wade house in Gettysburg that I know for a fact that she was not standing there when the picture was taken....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784285653010648547.post-71981278977271172082012-06-26T16:56:25.975-04:002012-06-26T16:56:25.975-04:00I'm a skeptic regarding most everything supern...I'm a skeptic regarding most everything supernatural, but these things legitimately creep me out. Negative hauntings and non-human entities. He always advised against ouija boards (and other forms of amateur channeling like pendulums) because they are very prone to contacting only the lowest levels of the spirit world. It's true that not all spirit communication is bad, but connecting is like taking an elevator ... and you have to learn the proper way to go UP ... or else the board will just leave you in the basement with all sorts of unsavory characters. If you want to communicate with spirits, learn how to protect yourself and learn proper ways to meditate. Casual playing with these "toys" can lead to big trouble. Not every time, of course. And not always right away (sometimes they'll wait to act on the invitation until you and your life are at a more vulnerable point ... that's right ... dabbling 10 years ago can come to haunt you today). Just as you wouldn't wander into a strange neighborhood and invite anyone and everyone who crosses your path to come play with you, nor would you leave your front door unlocked while you sleep at night, you shouldn't do that with a ouija board, either. If you do use a board or the like, never, ever believe anyone who answers you about who they are. Question everything. Bad spirits will lie and tell you they are good, but in the end they always reveal themselves.Palehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16831665114462726477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784285653010648547.post-8481461316761938342012-06-26T11:42:57.450-04:002012-06-26T11:42:57.450-04:00Perfectly chilling.

The font, the woodcut images. Beautiful and unsettling, even thirty years later. Picked up a tin of mints recently emblazoned with the image of the board on it's lid. That smiling sun is watching me right now, as I type.Saint Schizophreniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12401946684872245660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784285653010648547.post-17823441043701023162012-06-26T08:34:13.379-04:002012-06-26T08:34:13.379-04:00we were recently talking about digging out the old...we were recently talking about digging out the old ouija board back at my folks' house.<br /><br />I hate admitting it, but I have serious reservations about using it.Rothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11329750481399948095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784285653010648547.post-61297749756452159352012-06-26T08:27:51.528-04:002012-06-26T08:27:51.528-04:00Freaky.
