It was housing for employees of a nearby mill that made textile machinery. The houses in the area date back to about the mid-19th century. Directly above my old bedroom is an attic room that had been walled off at one time but later reopened. To get to it, you have to dangle precariously over the attic stairs to climb through a rough opening in the old wooden planks. A little tricky, but worth it for the scraps of old newspapers and other treasures we would find up there.

I still get goosebumps. The places that attic would take my imagination. Not all good, I must admit.Jon Glassetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07767386136781990569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784285653010648547.post-39271627366570714332009-05-04T21:39:00.000-04:002009-05-04T21:39:00.000-04:00Zombie Chicken award! : DZombie Chicken award! : DRothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11329750481399948095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784285653010648547.post-24302497742537958802009-05-04T19:33:00.000-04:002009-05-04T19:33:00.000-04:00i remember my grandmother's attic, big and beautifu...i remember my grandmother's attic, big and beautiful
i think i am going trick or treating at your house this year...sentinels,corn witches, long and dark, ground fog rolling low....i feel like a kid againAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784285653010648547.post-2502501611834339032009-05-04T18:00:00.000-04:002009-05-04T18:00:00.000-04:00I love going up in to my attic over the garage to ...I love going up in to my attic over the garage to see all my children up there waiting patiently to be set free in to the front yard on their favorite night of the year.

Rot check the link below

http://jasonemartin.blogspot.com/2009/05/wow-i-am-very-honored-to-be-recognized.htmlThe Captainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15383835824583541530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784285653010648547.post-65616627874583274922009-05-04T14:24:00.000-04:002009-05-04T14:24:00.000-04:00Oh yeah -
