i had a roomate who had a bird-eating tarantula and it would eat baby mice and hold them right under it's mouth with those two smaller front legs they have. It would hold it there for hours as the mouse would become a featurless mass. It would eventually look like a small piece of chewed gum and then it would be gone: dissovled on the outside and then sucked in. This pic reminded me of it.
