It's so beautiful and organic that I want to dive into it to absorb it all. Your creativity is always breathtaking and leaves me speechless. I'm looking forward to more photos and maybe I'll find better words for it then. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Happy Halloween

The hour falls...

I swear I don't know how the kids find the nerve to make it to your door. Just having to dare the pumpkin gauntlet would be scary enough!
Happy Hallowe'en, Rot!

Oh Man this is AWESOME. I love the faces on the three figures. Truly frightening. The scare crows are wonderful love the long arms. The kids in your neighborhood are going to get quite the show. Happy Halloween and cheers. Have a drink for me.

Rot said...

Thanks, guys! Rain might hold off here, and having a wonderful Halloween.

Amazing as always, I wish I had some of your talent for realism. The little details always make it look like something out of a movie. I loved your snowmen in Krampus by the way.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Love the haunt this year. It is a MASSIVE display. One photo in particular (#12 in the gallery, I think) really shows how expansive the whole scene is. I bet your neighbors and trick or treaters are in HEAVEN. Brilliant work as always! Just breathtaking.

Thanks a ton!

Wishing you a joyful Samhain. I'm assuming Michael (Rot) Myers will be making an appearance tonight? After all it is his night.

Rot said...

Oh, he will!!

Fantastic Rot! Love the degraded scarecrows and subtlety in the three figures.

What a breath-taking and terrifying scene! As organic and beautiful as ever! This looks like a HUGE undertaking and it all comes across so naturally. The three characters are AWEsome! You have the luckiest neighbors..... EVER!

Phenomenal is the word that comes to mind. I love this haunt. Scarecrows couldn't be any better and an incredible ambiance. I'm blown away. It has so much depth I can't get enough of it. Awesome.

Blown away, as always. Happy Halloween!

Nice. Love the hands up dude as well as the dude in shot #18. But the money shot is certainly shot #12 IMO. Well done Rot....

Truly incredible, there's just so much to take in here. The concept is awesome. The three Builders are super creepy! I love the glowing scarecrow "hearts", and even the empty scarecrow stands in the back. Some of your best work, excellent use of (what looks like) your entire yard.
Happy Halloween!

These are so...soooo....CREEPY!!! I love so many of these shots...The one from the rear of all of them is so cool. I love seeing the house in the background with the shadows! Really great work as always. I'm gonna have to look again in the morning to decide which is my fave...it'll be hard but that one with the arms in the air is pretty awesome! : )

Rot said...

Thanks! I will be posting more photos in the next couple of days.

Great show!
Thank you

I thoroughly enjoyed looking through these. My husband and I looked your blog up on our big tvto enjoy over coffee. I love all of it! The three makers are really cool and I love the shot with the silhouettes in front of the house. We had a great Halloween even though we only got 9 TOTs this year. It just gave me more time with my camera. It was a gorgeous day and very still night so the fog rolled out low and perfect. Again, it's great to see your work again and happy Halloween!

Rot said...

That sounds really nice actually. We got a decent amount of kids despite a light rain falling. Looking very forward to seeing your photos!

Really love that first photo in the post. It's like a portal into the netherworld of The Builders.

Still just as beautiful as ever. Happy Halloween Rot!

Epic. I think that's the appropriate word here.

It's just so...grand.

Beautiful work, and thanks for sharing!

Thanks, guys!
I really appreciate it!
Such an amazing Halloween.

Wow! Fantastic. Would love to just wonder though your yard and take it all in. Well done!!

utterly beautiful work here. the scope and attention to detail is just beyond, and it feels like there's a touch of something darkly whimsical in the scarecrows that really adds a special magic.

it's all oozing pure halloween from the inside out.

Rot said...

Thanks, Theo! So glad you dig it.

Mesmerizing Haunt, as always…especially enjoy the variety and yes, echoing Theo…the whimsical nature of some of the crow repellent devices in the yard. “Whimsical” was actually the buzzword for my own haunt this year, coincidentally, so I’m doubly excited that a much greater mind would dip their toe in those waters as well.

On to ‘23!

Rot said...

Thanks, Jeff! I really appreciate that. Looking forward to your photos.

JHMDF said...

Very cool to see a nice big chunk of your yard used for the display! I love the wide shots of the scarecrows. Another great year from ya buddy.

Rot said...

Thanks a ton!
So many photos coming...and videos as well.

Sara said...

The lighting is INSANE. The bolt of turquoise blue, the bright orange. Ughhhhhh. So damn good. The sunset pics!!!
The tiny details in every prop. All hail Pumpkinrot. Thanks for making Halloween that much more special with your art.

Rot said...

Thanks, Sar!!
That means a ton.

Bruh……The photography! Bruh! Speechless….

Rot said...

Thanks!!!

Amazing as always, your scarecrows are always the best. Nice grouping in the front yard. How many pumpkins do you carve every year? Any specific number? When we had our home, we always had between 30-40 jack o lanterns, back when getting 20 sugar pumpkins to carve to light the steps and the walkway only cost $20.00.
This years prices were insane.

Mike C(JASONV123) said...

Excellent work! I love all of them, but the one with his arms up is killer🎃🎃🎃

Rot said...

We had 18 pumpkins I think. And a few didn’t make it until Halloween. Local supermarket had two for 10 bucks. And that was the best price around.

Rot said...

Thanks, Mike!

Otaku said...

Wow. Those scarecrows are amazing, Rot. The details, especially the eyes and teeth. The heck of it is that the kids seldom appreciate the art, imagination, and effort that go into making such things come to life. And the Jacks! I can't tell you how many times I've attempted to imitate the macabre, deranged carvings in your haunts. They're like the icing on the 10-layer Hallowe'en cake. Nicely done!

Rot said...

Thanks!! I really really appreciate that. So glad you dig it!

Been taking a longer look at some of these off and on the last week or so, believe they are among your best. The vacant posts where remnants of past victims linger…that’s just brilliant by itself, but the shrouded one, the fat pumpkin one with the small mouth, those are amazing. Of course the guy seemingly dancing with arms raised is a joy, but I’m graduating to those more foreboding ones, they are downright scary. The trio under the roof are wonderful as well, I had a feeling they might be “related” To the Twigs from 1921. And thanks for the comment on the blog, google isn’t my friend right now and I’m gonna attack it this weekend to see why I can’t comment. Honored!

Rot said...

Thanks, Jeff! I really appreciate that. I have to say this is my favorite year by far. Was the best October to date and everything was exactly as I was hoping it would be. I was really happy with those two empty rotted posts in the back row, so I'm glad you noticed them!

And your Haunt is in my lineup to feature soon! Always love featuring your work on this blog. A solid tradition.
