Halloween Chronology
Here's a really neat look into the life of a haunter. Photos spanning from 1996 - 2007 detailing how this one particular haunt grew over the years.
Beautiful photography.

Primitive Garden Ceramics by Chris Farr
The Sunshine Shed offers some of the most unique Halloween items I've ever seen. Currently waiting for two pieces to arrive, so I'll slap up some pics when they get here. Each item is distressed and worn in appearance, yet kiln-fired at high temps and can withstand the elements outdoors (I'll be keeping mine indoors).

Modern Alchemists and Purveyors of Curious Goods
D.L. & Co. has some pretty nifty items for sale.....Dark Items.
Skull oddities by way of porcelain plates, stationery, swizzle sticks, serving trays, place card holders....and chocolate (Mori Ex Cacao) - chocolate skulls made with a blend of chilies and spices, or scorched caramel, or bitter white chocolate with brandied cherries.
D.L. & Co.
Candles are available through their Modern Alchemy line of products, with scents like Salem, Dia De Los Muertos, and Speak Easy - capturing the "inebriating vapors of gin, pipe tobacco, and wood."

Halloween Oldies
I bought this collection a few years ago and it's since gone out of print. Hopefully one day soon it'll be reissued. The twenty selections span 1928 through 1947. Louis Armstrong, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, and Bing Crosby are some of the artists featured. Pure Halloween gold.
Track samples can be heard at this link:

Anoka or Bust
I'm moving to Anoka, Minnesota.
Orange tie ball, a night parade, pumpkin carving contests, pancake breakfasts, and a Grande Day Parade?!

Tickled Primitive
I'm not about to buy sewing patterns and make these little guys, but I found the curly stem growing out of the pumpkin to be a pretty interesting concept - for mache, that is.

Hills Rotten
Love the style in this haunt. Check out Rotting Hills by expert sculptor and haunter Shea. Brilliant prop work and layout. I even love the porchlight pumpkins - what a great touch to an awesome yard haunt.

Prop Rentals and Fabrication
Found this prop rental site located in Los Angeles and they have a pretty impressive resume. So many ideas for prop design. You have to love a site that offers a "Poseable Burnt Corpse" and a section called "Torture."

Halloween Horrors
Listened to this album about a billion times growing up. Thanks to the Branded in the 80s blog for bringing it all back.
Here's the ghost story on side one of the album. Side two was loaded with sound effects.
Cold Meat Industry
A Dark Ambient soundscape plays during Halloween night at my haunt to add a distant and lonely atmosphere to the display. A great source for that genre of music is Cold Meat Industry.
