That time I didn't dress as a Pumpkin Head nor as Michael Audrey Myers. Keep in mind this was before you could buy a Freddy glove or a rubber Krueger mask, as the film had just come out. The makeup was knox gelatin and scalding, scar-inducing hot water, and blends of red and tan makeup. Very uncomfortable, but it was fun opening kids' trick-or-treat bags with the blade on my index finger.

Leatherface Dies Tonight
The "new" Texas Chainsaw Massacre is coming to Netflix this month. Not even really sure what I just watched below. I'll leave some comments as not to soil/sway your opinions prematurely (though I think I just let you know what I thought of it [but not totally]).

Spotted Lanternfly Sanctuary
If you live in the eastern part of this nation, you probably have heard of the Spotted Lanternfly. If you haven't, they're an invasive plant-hopping insect native to China that threatens vineyards, orchards, and the logging industry. We Pennsylvanians have been ordered to kill them on sight. There's only one problem: they're kindof cute.

Southwalk Ritual: Halloween 2018
It was the start of the year in our old Celtic lands, and we'd be waiting... in our houses of wattles and clay. The barriers would be down, you see, between the real and the unreal, and the dead might be looking in... to sit by our fires of turf. Halloween... the festival of Samhain! The last great one took place three thousand years ago, when the hills ran red... with the blood of animals and children.
