Why does every society, club, organized movement, volunteer group, support group, cleaning crew of people who shouldn't be cleaning anything, etc. have a pecking order? Like it's in our nature to size each other up and create a human spectrum of pecking power.
This hierarchical system was first described this way by Thorleif Schjeldeerup-Ebbe who observed that defense and aggression in the hen is accomplished with the beak. Literally a pecking order. And that's literally hysterical to read. I think it's the word beak.
So I'm looking for photos for the blog and I come across a zombie walk. Fun-loving, zombie-loving folk living the horror dream of a mass-shuffle of zombie power. And then I see these guys...
Oh, I get it... a horde of zombies, so there must be the humans who fight them, or rather, dominate them. A zombie pecking order. I swear to GOD, if I showed up as a zombie at that event and saw these guys with their plastic guns, I would walk up and start biting.

I'm surprised that the cops or security let themwalk around with those in this day and age. Never been to a zombie walk but kinda feel like not playing a zombie is a cop out. Like that person who comes to your costume party with out a costume.
total cop out.
like it's a zombie walk...be a zombie. Be a military zombie then.
i bet they've never fired a real gun too.
and i bet they have character names for themselves too. And ranks and whatnot (a mini pecking order within their stupid zombie-killing group).
Field of Screams is having a Zombie Mud Run. I thought of signing up to be a zombie.
Then again, I might get arrested for being TOO involved in my zombie character.....
haha
or my personal favorite: the English accent as seen in most Haunted Attractions.
I'd say a zombie hunter would most certainly don the Australian accent over the English.
: )
And after hearing the english one in haunted attractions and hayrides way too many times, i think i'd prefer a crappy australian over a crappy english.

i feel sad that there's a jurassicpark.wikia site.
this really surprises you.
that's the way society (for the Most part) is, man.
once again, "society loves Mediocrity",
& this is Mos Def, a branch from that tree.
Very disappointing but NOT surprising to me.
"Crickey! Look at that bugger!" I imagine Steve Erwin trying to wrestle a zombie in a sand pit arena. If he was around. And there were zombies.
Yop...hahahaha
I wonder, are there judges for these things?
right on Rot!
Somehow I think the mindless horde wins this battle. I hope they got chased to their cars....or scooters.
Hey, some people are nuts about Halloween. Others are nuts about dinosaurs. Some happen to fit into both categories :P
Also many fictional universes, be they from literature, film, television, games, etc. have at least one official or fan-created wiki by this point. It's a great way to build a digital encyclopedia of characters, locations, creatures, etc. associated with the story. It's like a collaborative research project.
hmmm...i just read over these comments.
my comment was directed toward people that want to stifle everyone else down...the whole ranking system.
i think there's a lot of TC (too cool) going around.
& if anyone really was a loner, etc, Honestly, you would never hear anything from them.
but...true loners are far & few, not many can walk that path & stick to it.
it's basically just a romantic thought for most, Hardly ever truly the case.
once again..TC
