Thank you for all the GREAT photos. Can't wait to check out my Home Goods tomorrow, and am glad to see that there is considerably less glitter on everything. I won't have to sandblast it all off this year.
Best part about the trip was that we saw a bunch of people excited to see the Halloween merchandise and crowding around some of the displays, and we stood in line with folks who all had some little Halloween decoration. One lady was buying a giant wicker spider. Very tasteful stuff this year.
Yeah, I just spent a ton on Halloween stuff there today. The guy at the register said "Getting an early start? " and I replied "No, it isn't Christmas stuff. "
I was really impressed with what I saw at ours, some really great things. I see my Owl candle holder and the witch I had considered. I appreciate the simple, rustic look in many of the stores so far, Michaels, Home Goods, looking good so far.
I remember back in 2000 wishing so badly that Halloween stuff in the stores looked like all of this. Glad it's here now, but wow that took a long time. Can't wait to start shopping for this holiday. I have already spotted some stuff at Big Lots I'm going to get which kinda surprised me. They don't have a TON out but the stuff they do have seems to be of good quality. And sorta/kinda like Pottery Barn knock-offs. Thanks for the pics, Rot. Happy Monday!
We loved Big Lots this year. Very cool stuff. Picked up some traditional stuff for the garden come late sept... and loved that weird winking eye doorbell thing.
Just visited my Home Goods. Nabbed a brass jacko caldron thingy like your Goon. Cause last year I hesitated and poof- gone. Your store has more than mine so I will keep checking in.
I would have never thought of checking this store out for Halloween, but thanks to your pics, I now have a coffin shaped cookie cutter, a set of velvety pumpkins and a life sized ceramic bust of the human head with phrenology points marked out.

Pumpkin pie taffy? Really? Clearly your HomeGoods puts ours to shame.
We're really digging the decorations this year.
SO much better than last year.
Aw Right! Gonna check mine out this week!

I'll have to snap a pic of the stuff we bought.

Ha! The eyeball door thing. We stood in front of that for a good 5 minutes. :)
I did the cat skelly thing at Big Lots (naturally)

Our Home Goods don't have cool stuff. it's very small on Halloween things. :(
