I'll never forget when I first saw this... just being totally overwhelmed and overjoyed at all the gorgeous puppetry and practical effects. that final shot STILL hasn't ceased to be mind-blowing to me.
and the score is magic.

that witch girlie is one of my faves. she's really got that mysterious silent film era vibe going on. her & Nosferatu are my favourite silent film monsters. if only they could meet & fall in love. gahhhh.
