This is beautiful. A stunning Home Haunt (as usual) with the singular greatest example of the power of lighting that I have ever seen. I am presuming the colors rotate throughout the night. If so, that is an interesting concept to ponder as it means people visiting the Haunt walk away with different impressions and feelings, as the atmosphere around them is changing. I would love to do such a thing, and I'd hope there was a setting called "painfully slow color rotation," as that notion really appeals to me.
I'm sitting here loving all of the combinations and trying to pick a favorite. The second photo down might be it, but it's just too difficult to choose.

LOVED Feral's post. It's an incredibly detailed example of color study and shows the importance of getting your lighting right. I'm going with the three witches and those amazing jacks as my favorite!

Thanks for the compliment. For years I used home made led spots in several colors. My first objective was to have creepily changing light. Once I built my LED spots (there were 50 of them all wired into power and a controller) I quickly fell into the light show stuff like many people do for Christmas. It took so many hours to compile the sequences for several different songs. The problem with that were all the wires throughout the haunt and that my homemade program constantly glitched. It stressed me out beyond belief. I would be on the verge of crying trying to make them work. Not a good thing for a haunter. A few years ago the lights were so badly degrading, I purchased 6 RGB 10 watt led spots that I can control with my tablet or phone. They are no longer available due to the not so easy learning curve. They are set to painfully slow to change and I can do any color possible with each lamp. These were mostly taken with a three color change, with enough time to get shots of each color. My Halloweens are so less stressful. I can enjoy them and can walk around in the haunt without tripping over 100 wires. My original goal was to have creepy changing colors. TOT count 20.

Making your own LED spots?!!!!! Wow!!! That is impressive! The lighting is the crux of a good haunt if you ask me and Gone Feral's is always amazing.
My greatest difficulty is with lighting…and most specifically, photographing the haunt after finding the lighting combinations I most like. We thought we’d solved it all this year, front sections utilizing orange led spots with white highlighters, blue middle sections…again with white highlights, red on the porch. The blue sections were completely washed out however, no matter what camera we used and the porch, which looked good in person, was so dark in the photographs taken that we gave up on it. So this summer we’re taking a crash course in gathering information and trial and error photography.
Oooh, I love this one. A haunt after my own heart. I think lighting really is key, and a mix of colors and angles can work beautifully, like this.
