I'm new to texting. Never had an iPhone until recently. Back when I did the Lady of the Tub photo shoot, I decided to send a photo to two of my long-time coworkers whom I've known since 2002. They aren't really into Halloween, but they always get a kick out of the photos I send them.
So I see a group text in my history which shows my one friend's name and a telephone number. I, being new to texting, don't think anything odd of the fact that it doesn't have both friends' names - just the one friend... and a telephone number. So I send the below image (with no words):
After a few minutes, it pops into my mind that one day during work, while our email servers were down, I had been texting with my one friend and one of her subordinates. She had wanted me to show this employee how to do something and we had been texting about access to the system she needed to use. So I sent a submerged rotting corpse photo to someone who didn't know me. I immediately deleted the photo from the text.
A second later, my friend texted "You know you just sent that to one of my employees!" I reassured her that I discovered my error relatively quickly and deleted the photo, assuring her that there was probably a very high likelihood that her employee didn't even see it before it had been deleted. My friend text-yells "YOU'RE AN IDIOT! TEXTS DON'T WORK THAT WAY!!!"
My friend texted this poor woman and explained that I make Halloween and, sometimes, movie props. She received two words as a reply: "Thank God."

Dying. The "thank god" is gold. In your defense Apple recently announced the capability to edit a sent text is coming. But sheer gold.
That’s funny as hell. She probably thought you did a Silence of the Lambs copycat killing. The old lady in the tub towards the end of the movie. Yikes!!
OMG Rot - that's a funny story.
Omg, that's hilarious!
Hilarious!
It could have been way worse.
It could have been a pic of you in the tub! :0
hahahaha
Nice!
Oh, my goodness...of all the props across all of the long years, and with all of the resulting images to choose from, this is the one that goes out to some poor unsuspecting regular person?!
Absolute perfection. **Chef's Kiss**
THAT is an excellent point. As this definitely isn't like my other stuff. haha
This is such a GREAT story!!! Pure comedy gold. I bet she was absolutely terrified to receive that photo...I think the Soup Lady is disturbing to look at even though I know full well that it's a prop!!!
Haha. Glad you enjoyed my pain!
