Checked out Walmart and I'm ashamed to admit that I dug it more than Target. I feel like I should be eating a hot dog dinner in their little restaurant for saying that, but there you have it. Little twitching and screaming people - set off all three at once. A VERY cool pumpkin paper lantern with orange cheesecloth that I bought. And perhaps the strangest treat I ever saw - Mask Pops. Mask-sized candy pops on sticks that have eye holes and can be used as masks. I want to give one of these to my nephew to see if he'll cry when he opens it up. "Scary Treats" was printed on the box.

You must have a better Wal-Mart than the one I have in my town. I have two aisles of crap. One aisle dedicated to the cheesy decorations and the other for costumes.
Rachel, if it makes you feel any better, the entire store smelled like bad breath and the shoppers looked like walking dead.
I have that gauze lantern, too! I hung it up in our family room. Walmart definitely has some great stuff. I can't wait to go back and get some more. I still haven't been to the Spirit Halloween superstore. Oh, the shame. *hangs her head*
I actually bought a few things at Wal-Mart... the only thing I got at Target was a Halloween costume for my son, who wants to be Darth Vader this year. I was a little dissapointed with both stores, but Target did have less crazy looking people walking around. I think all the psychos in the area decide to go to Wal-Mart when I do (or maybe they are just always there).
I did see a few cool things last night. They had some great glow in the dark t-shirts as well as other skull shirts my older son will wear year around. also some gummy eye balls that were too cool for him as well. However, I LOVED targets Halloween dishes. I thought they were way cool.
I work for them now, part time (will be my 4th week tomorrow). I finally made myself walk through the Halloween aisles the other day after work and I saw a few things I might buy. Every time I'd go to take the thsirts back to their place, I'd smell all the cinnamon and pumpkin pie potpourri (I bought some too). I finally bought those darn Hershey's Kisses too! I like the Candy Corn ones, but the Caramel Apple ones were a disappointment. I haven't been in Target or anywhere else to see what's out there. I just don't really "feel" it this year.
I thought Walmart was decent this year. We had about 4 long isles of Halloween goodness.
