So I'm playing some ambient music nice and quiet-like at my desk in the office. A coworker comes by and says "I could make THAT music....I'd play ONE note [demonstrates by placing finger on my desk], run a vacuum cleaner with my other hand [air vacuums the floor], and I'd gargle Listerine."

Nah, it was all good-natured, but I could see that they were genuinely confused as to how someone could enjoy ambient tunes.
*unrelated completely so please feel free to not pot this reply* Have you seen the new trailer to A Nightmare on Elm Street yet on the website? SO COOL.....save for the lame voice of Freddy but whatevers...
Say, outta curiosity Rot, have you ever heard of Midnight Syndicate or Nox Arcana? They are both dark ambient bands that do musical takes on different Halloween/Goth themes. I use a lot of their stuff in my haunt. If you haven't heard of them, give 'em a listen, they're really good!

I agree about the voice. I was just thinking "they should have had Englund dub the voice..."
But then I thought they should have just brought him back.
But I'll definitely see this film. I have hope.
BTW, Tonight of the Living Dead is great. The Music Box is a little grating, for some reason, but basically it's a difficult concept done brilliantly. And I have Transylvania but I think Nox Arcana should have worked some metal guitar into it. The songs just seem anticlimactic without it. What are their best albums?
I re-watched it and I'm disappointed they are using that annoying Asian guy that they use in EVERY Michael bay remake.
