For a while, my Dad worked at a mask making company making rubber Halloween masks.
He's pretty adept at mold making and casting.
One thing he made was a big grinning plaster pumpkin. It always set on a brick wall on the back patio, overlooking the spring and summer-time shenanigans.
It is likely still there now, though overgrown with ivy and long forgotten.

It seems to be made of conctrete, no firing required... :) it would be a 2 weekend project to make it after a foam sculpt is made to desires....
