Big trailer debut in three days for Prometheus.
I saw the leaked trailer two weeks ago and it was very grainy and blurry, but I have to admit that it looked pretty amazing.

It's hard to hear with the sound effects but it seems they used snipets of the original Alien (Jerry Goldsmith) soundtrack for the 'teaser trailor' Cool! Something new to look forward to from my favorite director.
oh, i can't click on it, i am afraid of the disappointment that may eventually ensue...
looks like it should be cool, has an excellent cast. the theme of 'saving the future of mankind' is a tad overdone but I have faith in ridley scott.
Unless something has changed; the original reports that I read hints that this movie has it's events taking place roughly 30-40 years BEFORE the original Alien. If that's still the case, how can the legendary Space Jockey chair look so fossilized (perhaps by hundreds of years) in the original Alien but look nearly brand new in this movie??? (At least from the movie-stills that have popped up).
Good question.
The long trailer actually shows a space jockey chair rising up through the floor, but it was so blurry I couldn't get a good look.
I know they said it looked fossilized in the first film, but was that a faulty description? Like how they said it was growing out of the chair. If we see jockeys walking around, I'll be very bothered (and I think that's the case since I believe in one of the stills there's a dead one lying on the ground).
ROT, either they will have some sort of explanation for the difference in appearance of the Space Jockey chair between Alien and this prequel or... They simply will ignore the differences and conflicts and proceed merrily along their way. But, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they make the effort to explain any visual conflicts that may arise between the two movies. If they don't, it will drive Alien-geeks like myself insane! :-P
And it does feel better knowing Scott is at the helm.
Fingers crossed here as well.
