Boyfriend's parents live only a few minutes away from Tarrytown (and also very close to the Great Jack-O-Lantern Blaze, to which he has solemnly promised to take me this year...) That whole area is really beautiful and frequently spooky.
I was up there many moons ago. Probably late 90's. Didn't really know about the area so I just checked out the Cemetery and the Manor. Going to do it right this time. Do some research.

I would definitely suggesting going the Jack-O-Lantern blaze if you can squeeze it in. It's right up your alley...and right near the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

GET TICKETS FOR JACK O LANTERN BLAZE ASAP! I went 2 years ago, it's amazing! Tickets sell quick so if you want to go, act soon as they go on sale. Also make sure to visit the cemetary, well worth it.
There is also an area near by called Letchworth Village with about 20 abandon buildings....nver knew it was there until a friend told me aout it....next roadtrip...

(For anyone who is wondering I wandered over to their Facebook page to ask- they say that tickets will be available on Labor Day weekend.)
Been there 4 times now....even though I live in Florida. You're going to LOVE it! Don't forget to visit Sunnyside while you're there (WI's home).
