The original Robocop design...
The new suit from the upcoming remake...
I'm very VERY grateful for the creativity and ingenuity that the 80's gave us. I think this comparison says a lot for modern Hollywood. Few new ideas and very little risk.
Since I'm feeling nostalgic, click below for a track from the Robocop soundtrack by the late Basil Poledouris.
And click here to see the new suit in action.

Yawn. GIJoe meets Iron Man.
Yeah. You can almost hear the producers telling the designers what they wanted..."you know, like iron man, and GI Joe...and the Dark Knight..."
Ro-Batman-Cop
Yeah. I think Hollywood just plain old can't think of anything anymore, so they just throw something together and hope the lighting will make it look better.
The suit in action looked pretty good though. :)
Yeah this suit looks and feels more like rubber like body armor we've seen in movies the last 10 years. It makes him look nothing like a cyborg copy and everything like a cop in the future suited up in armor. Between this and the rumors of the armor being transformer like I've given up on this production. But then again, that seems to be par for the course lately with all these reboots and remakes. I don't mind a reboot or remake as long as there's some originality going into the project. But I guess that's like wishing for world peace in my lifetime.
Good grief. What a lame ass suit.
Coffee grounds, latex paint, a little cardboard..........
20 million for the first weekend.
Haunters with a 20 dollar budget kick that things ass.
Looks like Batman with a different head to me.
eeewsh. That suit design is disappointing. So much potential.
I don't know why they couldn't have just thrown some silver on the chest, arms, and legs. If they'd done that it probably wouldn't look so boring.
Doesn't even look finished to me :/ Rot. You have it right. I don't blame the people with the actual creativity. I blame the people who tell the creative people what they want. *sigh* Poor Robocop.
Needs a bit of the Mark 1 armor me thinks. Tony built a better Robocop in a cave.
He looks like a cockroach.
