ok...well..my boyfriend played this for me yesterday & well.........
Certainly, NO Worries with it having ANY kinda vibe whatsover similar to the Original...
there is such a thing as Too much & Less often times is Best...
All this Energy & $$$ put into the Remaking of Already Great Classics....i Don't know...& i think of the people struggling (with $$$) to make something NEW.. Bernard Rose is 110% correct in his statement of "We NEED NEW HORROR----there's a SHORTAGE"....
ahhhhh...whatevers...TIME will Tell..
P.S....Oh & as much as i Love-Love Sam Raimi---i would Slap his face for F****** Up the Spiderman of my Childhood... :(
Well, I think this looks incredible. Absolutely incredible.
Infact, better (sue me!) than the original - which is one of, if not my favourite film of all time.
Then again, it's described as 'Evil Dead for the new generation', and I am, after all, a part of the new generation.
I'm really digging the ultra-modern look of the trailer. I'm sure a lot of Evil Dead fans will disagree with me here, but I truly hope that they keep the dubstep-type music in the actual film. I'm not a fan of that sort of music, but I think it'd work really well in a horror film, especially this one.
Reminds me a little of the TCM remake (which I hated, but that really was an unnecessary remake). I think it will be pretty good. It's not easy to really judge since I'm confident this trailer doesn't reveal all the best stuff. I'm disappointed that they didn't go with the blank-eyed look of the zombies from the original. These contacts look like every other zombie/vampire movie.
Girl6, I wouldn't touch the Black Christmas remake with a ten foot pole. And the appeal of double-movie packs is absolutely destroyed for me by the hideous stitched-together cover art.
I know I will be hated for admitting this, but I never was in love with the original. I love Bruce Campbell but more for his stint on Brisco Count Jr. (LOL, man how I loved him on that).
This one looks GOOD. And SCARY and everything the trailer said it would be, lol. I don't want to laugh during a horror movie, I don't want campy at ALL. I want to cry a little bit. I'm excited about this movie.
