Just needed to bump that hurricane post down...
I think I've checked the projected path of Sandy about a hundred times today.
HA! There is nothing i believe more than what the universe can accomplish with positive energy!
If it gets in the way of your haunt you can follow Jack Skelingtons lead and mix Halloween with Christmas this year. I am continuing to hope for the best for all of you.
Hallocane! Ha! I heard Frankenstorm on the news at work today.. so lame.
If shit ends up hitting the fan.. you can always stop by my house and I'll fill your trick or treat bag with pumpkin ales.

When I get home I'm going to point my bass amp out the window, plug in my iPod, and blast "Rock You Like a Hurricane" toward the sky in hopes of appeasing the weather gods.
Maybe a small blood sacrifice is in order, too.

My head is going to explode.
We already kicked into contingency mode. Because we've had some crummy weather the past few years (2010 produced wet snow and sleet and 2009 was wet with strong winds) I've dialed back the prop "technical" level for this year (had a feeling). I set up our cemetery today and we will be "speed carving" our pumpkins tonight and setting up the props tomorrow with the goal of at least getting some photos in before the weather potentially turns sour next week. We're 10 miles south of Lake Ontario so we might be seeing snow... frozen zombies!
Having lived in Florida for a few decades I'll add that no less than 75% of the time they projected these storms ended up being a no-show or a partial dud.
Weather report I just saw said PA/MD was going to be clear with slight wind on Halloween.
With HOAs changing up the night neighborhoods observe Halloween there is no guilt in setting up on a different night depending on weather. Everyone will understand - and who exactly doesn't want Halloween to last a couple extra days?
I have my fingers crossed for you buddy!
