: D

I was thinking about how as kids we'd occasionally sneak through a yard and it felt so incredibly illegal and scary.

That leads to an interesting idea, a year-round yard scarezone. Any trespassing kids would trigger a slurry of motion sensor zombies and skeletons to pop up. Traumatize kids 365 days!

I know they are not walking through my yard either. I black monster can leave some big land mines.

It was always fun to go through someone else's yard at night. I guess it was just the thrill of being caught. :)

My parents neighbors, on both sides, had mature pines separating yards, peeking through into one, that had weeping willows in the center, was like peering into a huge, dark tent. Its still that way, though my childhood neighbors have passed away. On summer nights with the blanket of stars hidden for the most part, the cave, was almost totally black, many nights were spent challenging each other to run from one side to the other without "the wolf" getting you.
