That was a great video.
Don't have any in my area yet that I know of. I have three big Maple trees in my back yard and as soon as I see any, I'm going to start taking some pics.
How cool is that! Great film. As a kid we used to find the molted husks clinging to trees we'd hang them from our shirts. And their song is nice to hear everywhere...
I saw the Brood X back in 2004 in Princeton, NJ. It was incredible. Exactly like in the video.
The sound was incredible.
Oh my gosh, we had these in Missouri and I hated them. :( LOL. Do I suck? It's ok. I still hate them. I couldn't SLEEP they were horribly loud. Booooo Cicadas!!!!
