I've never heard of black vodka, I'll have to check this out.
Ha! You guys crack me up! That is a pretty awesome coincidence.
BTW ...posts do not seem sparing, nor boring. How could anything Halloween be boring.
Looking forward to more! And can't wait for pics of this years haunt! :) ...anticipating it like a small sugar buzzed child!
So I was DEAD SET on making these one Halloween(2003?Martha Stewart has this recipe and we used hers),I ordered my black vodka and made them at my brother's Halloween party. Two things:
LOL! I swore I couldn't taste the vodka and had way too many and to this day, I stay away from vodka. Always. Always.
2:Unless you throw in some oil in between the orange juice and vodka, it turns out brown. BOOOO! We tried the whole night to perfect them and nuthin'.Just brown.
:) But they did taste good.
Eeewww, vodka.
(shiver)

Not a big vodka fan--might try black rum.
If you pour the top liquid over a spoon onto the juice, it sometimes helps keep it from mixing.
