We were insanely fortunate to see a digitally-restored version of The Shining yesterday...in a theater. A real theater with an amazing sound system. I think there were ten people in attendance, including us.
An amazing memory for sure.

Not sure why only 10 people would show up for that, but it probably made the experience all the more enjoyable. I feel like that's a movie best watched in small, silent gatherings.
We saw the original Halloween last year in a theater and it was much like your experience: small crowd. Still, it was a revelation to see it on the bigscreen, as I was only 10 when it was originally released.
I remember seeing this in the theater as a young lad when it first came out, what a fine memory!
