I really enjoy the deleted scenes. They add a weight to the film or at least to the characters. Thanks for posting this. It's nice to take a Halloween break during the day.
same here. they seem to fit in perfectly. And it really makes you feel for poor loomis.. like he KNOWS what's about to happen and no one sees it. The weight of it.
I'm such a fanatic, that I watch the theatrical cut AND the extended cut at least once a piece during the Season! I also have to cram in viewings of Halloween II and Season of the Witch, at the very least.
Whoa! I had never seen these scenes before. Filler for the TV edit or not, it's fairly important, because we get to see a young Michael not seen in the original film. Thanks for posting this!!
I saw the hospital footage in an edited for television version way back when, I always thought it should have been left in the theatrical release, it just adds a little something. Makes me wonder why somebody hasn't done a prequel...The Asylum Years.
idk...i still go back & forth on this/these. sometimes i like em & maybe wish they were originally in the film, but i think most times, i prefer JC's original vision. i mean like, these aren't deleted scenes or anything like that, they're added scenes from like 3 yrs later i think? when Halloween 2 was being directed by that other dude. (JC did direct these tho) i think i'm good with the original tho. i like the skeleton feel of it. feels scarier & more neurotic to me.
that xtra scene tho with laurie & those chicks. HAHAHHAHAHAHHA omg...so MUCH curtain in one scene & that carousel horse. JC certainly has the midas touch. love visiting with those 3 crazy chicks again!!! even tho it's NOT supposed to be that.

Right, exactly. He was such a good actor.
That last breath he exhales as he leaves the two medical staff is so good.

I know, right?
Very relevant addition to the film. Feels like it belonged and makes the film even more interesting. And feels very Kubrick.

This footage was actually shot new after the theatrical release, shot for the TV airing. Pretty neat.
