I have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Weeks personally and this creation is amazing!! He is an amazing haunter and loves the craft! His attention to detail and thirst for knowledge rivals my energy that he wants to bottle up! He is the personification of haunt family and community. Oh he loves LED's!!!

Thank you all for your many kind comments. It has truly put a huge, and much needed, smile on my face. As a person who loves to create such environments for people to explore, I am deeply humbled and sincerely grateful that so many people have expressed an appreciation for my style of haunt. The look of my haunts evolved from when I was 14 (WAY before home haunts were a thing). I lived in the country and had little to work with. I made my haunt from the things I could find, and selected materials based on objects that evoked a sense of mystery and made me feel uneasy when viewed in the fading light of late fall. The now-dry and twisted branches of, shriveled remains of fruit or other unidentifiable objects, the crackling leaves under foot. I added to this as many strange and textured objects as I could find. I always asked myself, "What scares me at this time of long shadows and darkened days?" Spiders, skeletons, unidentifiable objects, dirt coated jars filled with obscured items, misshapen things hanging near face level and the simple fear of what might lie in darkened corners. I've never used any movie monsters or popular horror characters as I felt I couldn't compete with the quality of the movie business and the characters seemed out of place in my haunt. I wish I had photos of those early days of naive and youthful creativity. For most of my life I felt I was one of perhaps very few who felt the urge to create these temporary installations. It wasn't until later in life that I discovered that there are many people who relish this dark theater.
