Watched this again recently and it occurred to me that this film has as much Christmas atmosphere/spirit as most Christmas films. Meanwhile it's a really slick horror film with some wildly creepy moments and terrific acting.

we met Keir at a convention. & he IS SO Cool & NICE. i talked to him about Black Xmas & had to straighten him out about which actor (actually) portrayed the killer's voice on the phone. Hahahahaha!!!! i cracked him up hard. he LOVED it.<3333333333

WOW. had no idea it was the same director and now that makes more sense as to why the christmas aspects of this film are so christmassy : )
Bob Clark also directed the BEST movie ever made...Porky's. HAHAHAHAHA!!! i worked with a chick & her hub would say that all the time. soooo funny!!! he REALLY loved that movie. so sad that Bob Clark & his son were killed by a drunk driver a few years back. sucha great loss. : (
Black Xmas IS SO Cristmassy & homey. i can't get enough of that movie. SO Gorgeous..ALL those twinklies!!! & the killer cam opening is to die for. Olivia Hussey & that crazy ass sweater. Margot kidder with the foulest mouth ever is LOVE. John Saxon SO butch!!! Andrea Martin IS a Gem. & that crazy house mother..HAHAHAHA!!! Honestly, one of the BEST movies.

One of my favorite movies, period. I watch it every year in December...and one of these days I'll do a double-feature of it with Christmas Story. This year, I'm seriously considering doing a Christmas day marathon of this film, Krampus, Silent Night Deadly Night, and maybe a couple other Yule-themed horror flicks.
This movie though...it's just the best! SO much to love about it, from the sets, costumes, acting, score, cinematography, etc. It's a damned-near perfect flick
