I so love this still. Never saw the new Blade Runner...was sort of afraid to.
well, since you kinda asked... ; )
I feel the movie was completely unnecessary and another example of Hollywood trying to cash in on a recognizable name and concept.
That said, it was a good movie, but I just wish it did it's own thing and wasn't set in the Blade Runner universe. Looked amazing. Music was terrific.
i'm still not sure how i really feel about it. we were the only 2 people in the theatre at the (midday) time..which made the music feel xtra surreal..like beautiful & scary at the same time. & in 2049 they traded in the rain for snow. i kept thinking about roy batty & rachel. C. really likes it. i will have to watch it again at home sometime. i think that can really help a movie sometimes.
Yep,kinda figured as much. Probably a 'decent' film on its own but why does it have to tag into the original BR?
