Sad to say, I never seen the original. (I know, I live a sheltered life).
But having Tild Swinton in it would make me watch this one. She is a great actress..........
And she kinda creeps me out.

they totally went the right way. doing a 180 & going with all the grunge was not only Brilliant but..i guess it was truly the ONLY way to go. OMGGGGG..those red dance costumes..basically just ribbons. makes me wonder if the ribbons are kinda a homage to The Red Shoes..another magical dance movie!! in the fairytale version..the red shoes are cursed. Luca Guadagnino..is the same director who did.."call me by your name". so i imagine HIS Suspiria will be very sexxxy meets the earthy grime of Rob Zombie.
i agree Jay..Tilda is a great actress..beautiful & creepy as hell (sometimes)
i think this IS the remake that i am MOST excited about. Never thought i would be saying that..but man, i think this movie has a GREAT chance of being wonderful. i heard the scene they showed at ComicCon actually made people feel ill. Luca G. has also said..this is not about being a remake but rather a homage to the feelings he had when he saw the original for the first time. Sighhh. & He's Italian!!!!!!!
I was super skeptical when I first heard this was getting a "reboot" (I'm a huge fan of the original) but I am utterly on board with this now, that latest trailer has made me a believer. Can't freaking wait.
I went from bitterly opposed to cautiously optimistic with this. HUGE fan of the original film, so I don't want to see this material get crapped on. I have to give them credit though...it looks like the team behind this really wants to make it their own, while also paying homage to the original.
Thom Yorke? from Radiohead? Doing the music? Is that right?
