Man, I'd compare the effects in this film to the first time I saw that T-Rex in Jurassic Park. Never had a headless effect been done with this kind of realism. I'd dare say it was elegant and beautiful.
And it has yet to be topped.

I completely agree! I will take every opportunity to praise this movie. The effects were cutting edge at the time, and remain strong to this day.
Totally. And the score, of course, doesn't hurt.
The score, the set design, and the COSTUMES! All these years later, and I still covet those gowns.
Still 100% great film.
Agree.
And with ray park as a stunt man, the character shows through. Even without a head!
I didn't know that.
Yup, Darth Maul killed For the Empire in Sleepy Hollow!
I love the fact that this flick features THREE Sith Lords! Such a weird bit of trivia.
I absolutely adore the sets, costumes, effects, score, acting, and the entire feel of this film. I remember seeing it in the theater, and being baffled at how it had received a November release, when it was so obviously a Halloween movie from start to finish.
