So the trailer dropped for HALLOWEEN ENDS and it feels a lot like HALLOWEEN KILLS on steroids. I can't say that I've really been waiting to see the big brawl match between Michael and Laurie. As I already got that treat back in 2003 with FREDDY VS JASON. That's the proper venue for such a thing, in my opinion. The only way this "fight" will have any significance is if one of these two (or both) really do end up croaking (misuse of the word 'significance').
The violence looks to be off the charts, which was a major gripe I had with HALLOWEEN KILLS. Just not necessary if your story and directing are interesting and spooky.
Click below for the trailer... (so much forced fanfare in there [like the jack o'lantern face behind Laurie with the gun {that's the same face from the first film that she carved with Tommy}]).
Thanks, Sara, for the link (I think).

It juuuust dawned on me. Of COURSE she says mothereffer. I bet it’s BECAUSE Busta says it. This trailer wreaks of Easter eggs which is sorta fun and also incredibly irritating because it’s forced fan service. Literally so many call backs to each of the movies in the franchise!
Obviously I’m watching it so I can have closure in my mind lol. I’m intrigued by the completely bizarre plot synopsis that also leaked. A copycat killer. So so so random.
Just kinda over it but hell, I’ll be sitting in a theater watching this come October.
God HELP them if Laurie kills the copycat and not Mikey.
And if there's really a copycat killer, this is like when a favorite sitcom was dying in the 80s and you were suddenly told one of the recurring characters had a twin brother/sister that you had never heard of before (enter cheap split-screen effect).
I may actually NOT see this film (more than once).
Hahaha saga apparently means soap opera. Like maybe Michael will end up being possessed by the devil a la Marlena in Days of Our Lives
"a la Marlena in Days of Our Lives" haha
Classic obscure reference right there.
Hahaha I was obsessed in the 90’s. Who would have thought?
At this point, shouldn't it be called: Halloween is tired
I agree. Totally agree.
And they'll just reboot it two years from now. If that. Start from the beginning.
It's already stated that there's more left to the series.. should have stopped after the the first remake IMO
I'm forcing my brain to believe the series ended with HALLOWEEN IV.
Did Michael go to space? If he hasn't gone to space like leprechaun or Jason then there is a movie right there.
Give it time! haha
Here's the plot:
Four years after the events of Halloween Kills (2021), Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.
I’ll probably go see it with my son but not excited about it. Not digging the endless move series because hollywood has lost almost all imagination and can’t create new movie ideas that work.
I can’t wait to watch Halloween Ends because I need it to end.
Good one.
Thanks. The vodka helped.
And I woke up thinking about how they are now acting like this is some half-century saga, but the film makers of the 2018 film erased any saga that existed. Laurie was part of a murder scene back in 78 where she lost her close friends. Truly horrible, but not a life long saga. So in 2018 he gets out of prison with the help of that doctor (I think [I can't remember and don't care to]), and then kills more of her family.
Definitely ripe for some revenge, but is it really a saga?
I feel like they tried to deny the saga by saying she isn't Myers' sister now, but now want it to be a saga again as though Myers and Strode are connected by something other than a desire for revenge. I dunno.
Seriously, where has he been for 4 years? If she thinks he'll be coming back, why isn't she packing a 12-gauge shotgun loaded with deer slugs? Blow a hole in his chest, then blow his head off. Pour kerosene on what's left and light him up.
Unless I'm mistaken, the only weapons I see her with are a revolver and a knife. After what happened in the last film, you'd think she'd be better prepared, along with the cops. The whole town would be prepared to take him down.
The only reason these movies even exist is to make money for the studio and the actors, but they won't be getting any from me.
Mr. Macabre
You make excellent points
