Amazing sculpture at the Chester Zoo.
Highly accomplished Liverpool sculptor, Sean Rice, presented ‘Noah and the Four Winds’ to the zoo. Sean was a student at Liverpool Polytechnic, and was commissioned to create it to commemorate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977. The sculpture is still on display in the zoo, and can be found in the sunken garden.
God, I love that someone signed off on this design.

It's beautiful in its design and execution (those hands!), but the images with the layers of discoloration, moss, and ice on those 'Winds'...wow.
Yeah...a thing of beauty. Only gets better as it gets older.
wOw! The hands are SO Gorgeous! Very reminiscent of the hands on WC's paper mache creations. Great minds think alike!
Wow! How bizarre and Beautiful!
Very cool - love all the patina.
I'd be proud to have something like this in my yard.
