I feel a connection to this year's display from Tjalgahorn. Firstly, there are wonderful scarecrows. Then, there's their creator. A killer. A monster. A "builder"... His victims become scarecrows. A violent, cruel, and humiliating end. He's The Carver, and as the old verse goes: Don't let him catch you with a shadow'd embrace... He'll scoop out your seeds and carve you a face!
I personally find peace in the thought of being turned into a scarecrow. I just hope my murderer uses a lot of squiggly roots.

That is very cool.
He executed such a well thought out story brilliantly. And the way he carved the shapes into the rotten skin just fascinates me. Those rounded edges over the teeth and eyes. Love it. I have great respect for such a good job. There just can't be enough scarecrows in the world haha.

I really like the idea of creating the character that's responsible for the carving. And what a great picture of him. Very very cool!
Like most of us, I suspect, I'm a sucker for a a haunt or a display that tells some kind of story, and doubly so when it employs some narrative subtlety while also being well-executed...beautiful work!

Such a great concept, and so well….. executed :)
I love the story! You could expand on this for years. SO well-executed ....the rotting flesh over a hint of teeth and bone. Terrifying!
