We purchased the first pumpkin of the season this weekend. Nice to see them showing up in the bins at Trader Joe's. And in a very cool development, an accidental vine is growing next to the porch, from what I'm assuming were seeds from last year's porch jacko's. It's doing really well and has two small pumpkins on it. Really hoping they make it.

I hope they make it too. I love when the volunteer pumpkins show up.
I shall post status updates. : )
Grow little ones, GROW!
haha... fingers crossed.
Those pumpkin babies look really healthy! I think they're gonna make nice ones.
I wish I had a place to grow pumpkins. I live in an apartment now. But back in the day I grew those babies all over my front and back yard and sort of let them go wild.
I'm pulling for those little guys...I love volunteers.
We just got our first pumpkins of the season, too. As per usual at this stage, they aren't carvers, and were selected primarily for the character of their stems.
Finally having them around the house is just the best.
