Watched this unsettling documentary tonight and it reminded me of this old blog post about the time I saw a guy, RIGHT after the murders occurred, dressed as a Tylenol pill on Halloween night, back in 1982. After all these years, I still can't believe he did it.
The documentary is pretty chilling.

I was working in a tshirt store that pressed decals and lettering on t-shirts ( It was called The Dog's Ear- which was a funny name ). I remember that we ran out of red shirts because we were printing up so many shirts that said "Tylenol" I was exactly shocked and surprised that people would do this. What surprised me was how each person thought that they were the only person on there getting one of these shirts. At any rate, people were afraid so I guess Tylenol was the monster a lot of people feared at that time.
It is interesting how the things that happened during my childhood are now becoming podcasts and movies. I don't really remember my parents throwing out Tylenol or if we even used it. I do remember the candy panic during Halloween for a few years.
So funny, I spotted that documentary as I was scrolling last night, and the first thing I thought of was that blog post, and the nut in a Tylenol costume
(and, of course, the inevitable Sneaky Sipper thoughts ensue, how could food and medicine EVER have been shipped unprotected, etc.)
Generational traumas echoing down the years, or something...we're probably all a little more affected by some of that stuff than we think.
That's really interesting! Thanks for sharing that memory.
"Sneaky Sipper" haha
Have you seen Killer Legends? It was the sequel to the Cropsey documentary and it had a section on tainted candy.
