Something Wicked This Way Comes
Been digging this season of American Horror Story. Lots of neat images, and a two part Halloween special packed with some great atmosphere.
Comparison
Just putting up the black plastic on each side of the hallway would have taken me three days. Still amazed my friend pulled this off in such a short time.

The Haunted Hallway
My feet hurt.
Sitting here waiting to head back to the school to break down the Haunted Hallway. It's crazy to think a 100 foot straight bland school hallway was turned into something like this in less than a day. And it's crazier to think the school lets it happen in today's sensitive climate. The principal told me that this event draws the largest crowd each year out of all other events.... over 650 people partaking in a Halloween Dinner/Haunted Hallway event. Kids running around in costumes, music playing in the cafeteria and gym, tables decorated with orange and black plastic, and Halloween decorations everywhere. Not Autumn decorations...but good ol' fashioned Halloween decorations.
It was neat to be a part of it.
Here are some photos...

No More Room In Hell
The H Word
Great article by author, Halloween Guru, and friend Lesley Bannatyne.
Halloween—old Halloween of folklore, I mean—was tied to the quickening
dark, to seasonal change, to death, to the movement of mythical beings
(fairies, witches, dead souls) through the night. These facets, too, are
the playing fields of horror in film, art, and literature. You’d think
Halloween and horror would have made perfect bedfellows from the
beginning. But the Halloween we know now has been invented and
reinvented many times over the past few hundred years. It’s always been
spooky and otherworldly, but until fairly recently, it had little to do
with horror.

The Old Church
This is pretty awesome. Loving the frame of the Church with the red lighting.
