Witchy Cards

Totally not self-promotion. I'm just excited that I got my Halloween cards yesterday.

While at the horror convention on Saturday, I had the great pleasure of speaking to artist Pete Bregman about his graphic novel "The Trap-door Maker: A Prequel to the Phantom of the Opera." The story takes place with Erik's days in Persia as his architectural talents are exploited to create deathtraps in the catacombs of the Shah's palace - making him a potential target for assassination since he's the only one who knows their secrets.

Pete's novel has gotten great reviews in the industry and it was wonderful listening to him discuss his project with us. A super nice guy too.

The Hollowman

This year's entry in the Scarecrow Competition will be called The Hollowman - keeping with the spirit of this year's theme The Hollowmen: Year of the Scarecrows. I've never cut it so close. He STILL isn't even partially assembled. This week will be a blur as I have only two weeks to complete him.

Convention of Horror

Hit up a horror convention this weekend and had a blast. Shook Tom Savini's hand, got to take a photo with Danielle Harris, bought some great and rare dvds (at extortion prices). Saw a bunch of people in costumes and met a lot of talented artists selling their works. A great weekend.
