I Refuse To Let Them Die

These guys will be moved into the back yard where they will return to the earth - after a few more nights of candles in their mouths.

Wrinkled teeth and a mouthful of spent tea lights.

I could hardly pick mine up. They were really mushy. Sorry to say they met Mr. Trashman....

Some freaking cat sprayed all of mine. I just got them ready for night and got back into the house and smelled something funny...then sniffed my fingers...CAT.

What kind of cat sprays a pumpkin???

Of course now our cat is looking at me like I cheated on her.

I recycled mine back into nature last night. Three of the ones that didn't look too bad, are sitting right on the edge of the woods in my backyard =) I'm so not ready to part with their crooked smiles =)

I buried the guts of some of mine in the front yard.

Under cover of darkness.

I have to move mine tomorrow, the 135 lb'r is leaving a nice pumpkin puddle on the wood porch. I will miss them all.

Mine is grinning at me from the backyard garden as it decays. I think I might just stick one of those LED xmas candles (with a built in timer) inside a ziploc bag and plop it inside the pumpkin to see how long it lasts into the winter.
