What another great Carpenter reference! Any movie with Alice Cooper in it can't be all bad...love the jars, hope to see lots more!

Love the reference, PoD is one of my all time favorite Carpenter films. As for Cooper, it's a shame they didn't include the track he recorded for the film (barely audible through the headphones), not even on the collectors cd.
OK, I'm convinced. These jars are going to light the way through my display next year. This is a really subtle, creepy concept. My wife tried to get me to go with using the cutesy-type luminaries last year; I refused to introduce "cute" into the display. Now it looks like we'll both get our wish - super-creepy luminaries to mark the path. I'll probably make some for the tree, too.

Though I doubt I'll be doing anything else with this. I only have one of those large jars. Michael's sells that size, over a foot high. This was just me screwing around.
The pumpkin is a piece of thick cardboard with cuts in it. Very bendable - so I had to curl it up to get it through the top. The skull is a mache mold of a plastic skull...paper towels dipped in elmer's glue and water, and applied to a skull...then peeled off after it dries. So it's thin like a paper mask...very bendable. But I'm thinking anythign white could be cut and shaped to look like a face. Probably don't even need anything all that firm.
