A day off from work being spent in the basement working on things. I look up and see a white piece of paper up in the rafters of the ceiling. I reach up and find a sticky trap graveyard of old spiders, left by the previous owners...or maybe the owners before them. Had one of them moved, even a little bit, I probably would have thrown it into the air and tripped on my retreat, and stumbled and got turned around, and then fallen face-first onto the trap on the ground.
Fortunately, no one moved.
Cruel stupid death. I made sure there weren't any other traps in the rafters.
Though I'm glad my only insect pests are spiders and some pill bugs.
Probably the grossest thing I've posted on this blog.
I apologize in advance to Chris Davis.

EW! Traumatizing. If I had found that, I would have probably passed out immediately. :/
If I would have touched that in my house we would have to move! :D
As much as I am terrified of spiders....that makes me sad.
Ah, thanks for thinking of me.
Cheers!
OMG! I hate spiders and would have had a heart attack!!
That's gross. You should take a wider shot so we can see the spiders in their full habit ;)
Well, I like it. I collect all the dead spiders I find in a jar. :)
a very cruel death for the little guys--I think just about 99% of spiders are harmless.
I sense the movie 'Arachnophobia' is about to take place at your home now that you've removed the traps, lol.
Happy 4th!
I hate glue traps, but it is a well composed imageand I love spiders even if they are dead.
Yeah, glue traps are cruel. :( Poor little eight legged critters.
