The latest episode was beyond scary.
Way beyond.
I don't care if the family was lying, it was still WAY scary.

The first story was quite good. There was a real feeling of fear being transmitted through the testimonies and the "eyewitness footage" and I can't deny it. First part, scary.
Then came this boring Sasquatch story and the wife and I turned it off before it was over. I admit that first story was a tough act to follow, but the Bigfoot tale was a poor choice.

Ok the ghost part didn't scare me, but the Sasquatch part just made me go lock all my doors and windows!
I KNOW! I thought the same thing ... even if it was bullshit, it's super great awesome scary fun, so who cares?! :D
Great show. Reminds me of A Haunting.
AGREED!
I watched it last night with the lights off before bed and like some little kid, then had to turned them back on and make sure all the doors were locked. I sat up awhile trying to forget about the story.
I was still thinking it about today.
Agreed, and it was kind of awesome.
i'm with everyone, this show really gets scary. Though the first time there would be any objects in a row or stacked in my house, i'd be outta there and on the news. The level of events in that house was pretty suspect.
That bigfoot story though...and i think any time anyone ever says, "it wasn't a person" always scares the hell out of me.
What NoahFentz said. Such a good poltergeist story. It's great that they mix in "actual" video (even if you have no way of knowing that it is) with the recreation. It gives you a chance to suspend disbelief. Can't lie, this one gave me goosebumps. Both stories.
So for, this series just doesn't work for me. Granted, the "artistic-license" that goes into the stories are to be expected but, slamming-doors, furniture thrown, books off shelves, the talking-head interviews with the black backgrounds... *YAWN*... Have seen the same exact shots too many times in too many other paranormal series. Perhaps I'm just hopelessly jaded. But I'm glad other folks seem to enjoy the genre. Specially at this time of year.
This was one heck of an episode, absolutely awesome! I could see why you said they could have lied though, in a haunter's eyes it's almost too good to be true, but iI don't know, it's still damn intriguing!
OK, it's official. You got me hooked on this show. You were right--it's awesome!! Good production value, great tone, and definitely scary. The image of the "girl without a face" has stuck with me...
I don't have cable, so I haven't seen this week's episode yet, but I'm watching it online tomorrow.
Such a fun show.
And I was just saying that if the family ever came clean and admitted to lying that I'd STILL be freaked out watching that episode.
I want to believe they were telling the truth : )
when Paranormal Witness finally gets around to doing an alien abduction story, I probably won't sleep for a week.
It just goes to my central thesis, the more cats a person has the crazier they are.

Creepiest part: the toy horse flying off the shelf and flipping itself over. Also, randomly spilling bleach also creepy as hell. It's creepier when toxic liquids are involved, lol. ;)
Thanks for the recommendation Rot!
great show, great stories, great afterglow!
...It never ceases to amaze me,
the wealth of awesome stuff you come across daily; thanks for sharing all of it!

A pleasure.
Can't wait to watch last night's episode after work today.
