I took the month of May off from blogging, and everything else, to get a big prop project completed. In late April, I was contacted by a director making an independent film who was interested in my work. I agreed to build 12 large props for his movie.
And May was a blur.
Here they are, crated and waiting for the truck to take them to California.
Unfortunately, that's all I can share at the moment.
But I'll definitely be providing updates when permitted.

Congrats! I look forward to the details!
Oh, my.....we get to play "What's In The Box (es)" now? Cool.
So glad for this recognition of how great your stuff is, that you were recruited to make props for an indy production & all.
Big Congrats!
that is one lucky director.
WOW!! Congrats Rot! I can wait to see them!!
That is great Rot. Can't wait to see your creations.
WOW! That is super exciting! Can't wait to hear more about it!
That's great Rot. I live in Los Angeles, and a friend of mine and I often discuss how well you could do here building props, they are fantastic.
Holy hell.
Thanks, all.
It's been a crazy month. I'm still picking up the pieces and getting back on track.
Now there's no doubt: The neighbors think I'm nuts. I built most of them in the yard.
WOW congrats! Cannot wait to see the finished projects!
That's so exciting! And I consider it a badge of honor when the neighbors think you're cray-cray. Ours literally stop on the pavement downstairs and stare at me (we live in an apartment with a balcony) when I'm putting up our outside decorations every year.
Too Cool..I cant believe you made 10 of something that big in 1 month!
Cool. Can't wait.
Fantastic!! Can't wait to see!
brilliant! you've been such an inspiration to all of us in the Halloween community--perhaps the 'rest of the people' out there will finally get an opportunity to see your gorgeously innovative and wonderfully created art. can't wait to see the props!!!
Aw, thanks.
And thanks, everybody.
That is awesome! Many congrats :) It's great that your work is going to be introduced to a new audience :)It's only a matter of time before the likes of Spielburg and Burton are ringing your phone ;)
I remember when he started out making Halloween props for his parent's yard...:)
Very cool Mr. Rot....very cool!
Can't wait to see that!
I FUCKING KNEW IT!!! (pardon my language) That is fantastic news Rot. Congratulations 10 times over!
Congratulations!!!! I knew that would happen to you sometime! :) I'm super happy to hear the news. It's well-deserved.
Now I'm DYING of curiosity about what's in those boxes!
So very cool....can't wait for the details!
Congratulations!!!! I knew we'd be seeing you on the big screen:)
Hope this is the "big" break. You deserve it. Someone with your talent and vision should be given notoriety.
not because you know someone, but because you love what you do, and are damn good at it!
This is a very exciting post. Your props are the best I've seen.
