Damn. I've read the abreviated peice in the Wierd Mass book before but this was a great read. I've been to Salem at least 4 times ( and going again this year) , and have never made the attempt to try and locate the location. This guy's research is so good. Wouldn't it be pretty cool to live in that house behind it? Or maybe not, as you might get random people coming to the site. I LOVE that city. Not just for the history and the fact that it feels like Halloween year round, but for the fact it's naturaly beautiful. Though it may turn into a touristy cluster fuck for a few months out of the year it would still be a wonderful place to live.

I was impressed with his work on this. Loved stumbling upon his blog.

I've only been there once, the weekend before Halloween. What a mistake. A line of cars into and out of the city. I greatly pity the residents and what they have to endure during the Halloween season.

What an awesome read! Thanks for posting it. I've never been to Salem...but would love to go. Going during the month of Oct. would be awesome but I can imagine it's a pain in the arse. I'd love to visit just for the history. Has always facsinated me.

Thanks so much for posting this. As you know, we go to Salem every year, and twice we've tried to find the official site of the witch hangings. It's awesome to read a blog by someone who's done such thorough research! Can't wait to go back to Salem this year... :)
