Very Awesome.

So cool to see many of your works together on one page.
You should do one with just the pumpkins you have carved.

It's not just your props that are so good, you give a lot of thought on your photographs, lighting and angles that make them that much better. I am always inspired by your work.

O!! M!! G!!
Simply amazing the collection of work you have done!! Now THAT would be a book to treasure. Rot, do you ever photograph things in progress? One can only imagine the evolution of one of your paper mache sculpts.

Love ALL of these!!

thanks.

I think I only took photos of the skull witch back when i built the first one.

I never feel right taking pics mid-way. Just something off about it to me.

Awesome stuff man, truly. I believe I caught some pics there that I've not seen before, believe Tin Man setting is different, so stark and lonely looking. Those of is who have been following along can probably recall our own histories while gazing at the many pieces here. I can recall exactly what I was doing when I first saw Johnny Appleseed, how everything just stopped and I just knew everything I believed about "Halloween Decorations" had changed completely. One of my favorite parts of the holiday is the next great Rot reveal each year. It's a beautiful collage of amazing and inspiring work.

Jeff took the words right out of my mouth. It's so awesome to look at photos from past years and remember the awe that I felt gazing on them for the first time. Rot, your the Halloween Master. Keep 'em coming!

Sheesh, the closeup shot of the Jody prop caught me just the right way and actually gave me a little shudder.

Really neat to see it all in one place. I'm tellin' ya, I would buy the heck out of a Pumpkinrot coffee table book.

Thanks!

Jay, I'll add some more photos to that page as I think of them...I'll try to find one of Blight that I dig.

Awesome, awesome stuff Sir!! Love seeing it all together. I also saw a few pics that I haven't seen before.

Cool. Thanks.

yeah, that's why I wanted to put something like this together...A lot of photoshoots have been buried in my blog...and with over 7,000 entries, they're REALLY buried.

I think a coffee table book would be wonderful, too!

Author picture on the back? A shrouded figure with a skeletal hand emerging from a black sleeve... :D

So Elsa is one of the pics that I haven't seen. She is incredibly creepy and awesome and beautiful all wrapped up into one prop. I'm curious though about her being submersed in water. I'm assuming you do some sort of water proofing as I've seen you do that before with other props.

Amazing picture of her btw...I love that you can see little air bubbles...

She's one of the Tinies...

For the props I know will be outside in the elements, I will coat them with a silicone sealer...they still get soft when it rains, but it dries as soon as the sun comes out... but for this little lady, I knew that we only had about ten minutes of life in her since we were holding her down completely underwater. It was like drowning a small child. I joked before about the cars going by seeing me holding a small girl underwater and Bean snapping away.

She was totally saturated after the shoot.

Thanks, Rania!

girl6, it really is pretty nifty to see those photos in one place...each one reminds me of the planning and the building and the location hunting and the early morning drives to go set them up. There's a satisfaction that I feel when I see these...like a weight lifted. Like once they're trapped on film and posted, I can breathe easy. And it feels like they're still out there.
