I LOVE the creature in the third pic.

I've always wanted an older looking house that looked like Halloween year-round, whether it's decorated or not.

Just got back from NOLA on Monday. Bourbon street is a complete sh*t hole nightmare, but the garden district is incredible.

You'll love this. 10 minutes after we left Lafitte's blacksmith bar, I get a text from our friends that Shane, Daryl and Glenn from TWD just strolled in. I thought there was a chance that we may see one of them as comic con was in town, but I was kicking myself for the next 3 days!

COOL story.

I've always heard that Bourbon st was quite bad.

You would HATE bourbon..I mean HATE it.

There are some incredible cemeteries, and cool voodoo shops. Garden District remind me of the neighborhood in the original Halloween.

And you got mail..

Hey, thanks for the link to my blog. Glad you found this post! Had a blast compiling it. As for all the readers talking about what a @#$#hole Bourbon is, check out more of MyYearOfMardiGras.com. The main mission of this blog is to discuss and expose all the great stuff in NOLA and get past the stupid Bourbon Street stereotypes. Coming to NOLA and judging it on Bourbon Street is like taking a cruise, disembarking at one of those junky 'duty free' spots, and saying the Carribean sux!

That's a great point.
Thanks for posting : )

While overall I was disappointed in American Horror Story: Coven, it did rekindle my NOLA love affair. There are parts that are truly magical, a photographers dream, other parts not so much.
